Fleas. With each dose, TriForce Feline kills fleas for up to 28 days, and flea eggs and larvae for up to 90 days. Using adulticide etofenprox and Nylar® Insect Growth Regulator, TriForce prevents flea eggs from developing into biting adults, breaking the flea life cycle for up to 90 days. Because it controls all three growth stages of fleas (adults, eggs and larvae), TriForce also breaks the flea-tapeworm life cycle and protects cats from Dipylidium caninum, a common flea-hosted species of tapeworm.

Ticks. Formulated to kill deer and black-legged ticks for 28 days, TriForce also helps eliminate potential serious health risks. Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria transmitted through bites from deer and black-legged ticks. Pets diagnosed with Lyme disease commonly demonstrate signs of pain, lameness, fever and lymph node swelling in the affected limb.

Mosquitoes. TriForce Feline also repels mosquitoes for up to 30 days, minimizing the danger of bites by mosquitoes. The common pests are known vectors of both heartworms and West Nile virus. Adult female heartworms live in the heart and produce microfilariae, which are picked up by feeding mosquitoes. Infective stages develop within the insect and can be transmitted to other, healthy animals. Although horses and humans are particularly susceptible to West Nile virus –an anthropod-borne disease that causes encephalitis (swelling of the brain) – the disease also can infect cats
