Vibrant colors and attention to details and lighting are the
trademarks of Randy's paintings. Although specializing in Parrot
Portraits, Randy will paint any pet, animal or landscape you wish to commission
him to paint. Randy's goal is to produce a portrait painting of your pet
or animal that reflects its true likeness and character. Have your
pet beautifully rendered in acrylic on canvas. Portrait paintings make
a perfect gift for someone who really cares about their pet.
All portraits are painted from photographs of your pet or landscape that you
supply. Randy paints what he sees so the photographs should be clear and sharp and
the colors should be as true to your pets’ colors as possible. Outdoor lighting
works better than flash lighting. Ordinary photographs are fine (the larger the
better), but high resolution digital photographs are preferred.
You can choose from “traditional portrait” or “natural” backgrounds.
Natural backgrounds can be the actual setting your pet appears in
on the photograph or the natural habitat of the animal, such as forest
vegetation. Natural backgrounds are an additional $110.959.95.
The base cost includes 1 animal (partial or full body) and the
“traditional portrait” background. Any extra animals will be an additional
$169.95.
Landscapes are priced based on the complexity of the scene. The base prices
are the same as for the pet portraits.
It will take up to 4 weeks to complete the work from the actual time it is started,
depending on the size and complexity of the piece. Once completed, Randy will send
you a digital photograph of the painting for your approval.
