 Nice Cage but Very Difficult to Put Together

First of all, this is a beautiful cage that is spacious inside (my 8 year old could fit in it), but compact enough that it doesn't take up a lot room. It is sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. There is also an opening that could connect to another cage, which isn't readily displayed on the picture.
I'm actually surprised that other reviewers said this was easy to put together. The instructions have no words- only a one page black and white picture with a few lines and numbers pointing towards the picture. We ended up printing out a picture from the website and used that more than the actual instructions. The picture helped us to know where to place the perch and gave a much clearer picture.
My husband, who can easily put together most things took more time to put this together than our huge basketball hoop. It's a huge puzzle, especially the bottom frame that catches the bird feed droppings.
Once most of it was put together we noticed that one of the bars was bent. After all the time it took to put it together we are not going to take it apart and ship it back. So, our recommendation is to check the bars carefully. We also had one of the bolt covers missing. There isn't an inventory of the parts on the instructions so you won't know what's missing until you're putting together.
Our bottom line, if you have the patience to put this together you'll end up with a beautiful cage. If we could have done it again we would have checked the bars carefully upon arrival, printed out a color picture from the beginning, and put it together during the company's normal business hours so we could call- especially to check how to put together the bottom attachment (that catches the bird seeds).
