The playstand has a lot of nice features and activity areas for my bird. However the design of the feeding station and the quality of the woods used is lacking. The feeding bowls cannot be locked in place or secured, they are held in place by gravity. Once my bird found out, he gleefully tossed the bowls around the room. If they had some sort of locking mechanism, that would rate an additional star. The wood used for the ladders and the perch is a soft pine- not a hardwood. For a Macaw, this is like balsa wood. Needless to say the ladder lasted a whole 5 minutes after assembly. Deduct another star for the wood. The finish of the metal parts is great. No complaints there.
